Privacy policy

What data the site collects, why it is needed and how you can control it.

Last updated: October 2026

  1. 1Who is responsible for the data

The site and the students' data are managed by the English teacher who owns this website. Send any request about your data through the Contact page.

  2. 2What data we collect

Account: name, email and password. The password is stored only as a one-way hash; we cannot see it.

Learning data: your answers in quizzes and tests, completed assignments, results, vocabulary words, the schedule and lesson records.

Messages: your chat with the teacher and your conversations with the AI tutor. The teacher may read students' AI tutor conversations for teaching purposes only; students are told about this in the chat itself.

Requests: the name, contact and message from the trial-lesson form.

Payments: a payment is processed by the payment service. We do not receive or store card numbers, only the status of a payment.

  3. 3Why we do it

To give lessons, check assignments, show progress, communicate with you, accept payment, send lesson reminders and keep the site secure.

  4. 4Cookies and local storage

We use only necessary items: a secure cookie that keeps you signed in to the cabinet and entries in the browser's local storage (the chosen theme, the menu state, and a mark that you have read the cookie notice).

There are no advertising or analytics cookies that track you on this site.

  5. 5Third-party services

Depending on the features you use, data may be processed by: an email service (reminders and invitations), a payment service, Google (if Google Calendar and Meet are connected), an artificial intelligence service (texts you send to the AI tutor, essay check or exercise generation) and video services (Zoom, Google Meet) under their own rules.

Voice input may use your browser's speech recognition: for example, Chrome sends the recording to a Google service. As a backup the site can recognise speech on its own server, and the recording is not stored anywhere.

  6. 6How long data is kept

As long as your account exists. You can ask for it to be deleted, and your learning data and messages are deleted with it. Payment records may be kept longer if the law requires it.

  7. 7Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, withdraw your consent and ask questions about how it is processed. Write to us through the Contact page.

  8. 8Children

If a student is under 14, registration and payment are made with the consent and involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

  9. 9Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always available on this page.
